Coaches

We are honored to have Claire Dennis regularly coaching our team! She coaches weekly practices and at select competitions. Thanks to the Husky Sailing Foundation we have doubled our resources to train and compete on a national level on an ongoing basis.

Claire Dennis

Claire grew up racing Laser Radials in San Francisco, CA and was a Youth World Champion and member of the US Sailing Team & ODP before joining the Yale Sailing Team in 2009. While at Yale, she was a Women’s All-American, Fowle Trophy Winner, and an ICSA Women’s Singlehanded National Champion. Claire continued sailing Lasers after graduation, until deciding to switch paths and become a lawyer. Since then, she has stayed active in the sport, coaching when time permits and racing J105s, J24s, and team race regattas. Most recently, Claire has gone back to her dinghy sailing roots and is having lots of fun learning the RS Aero with the local Seattle fleet. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the PNW with her puppy and spending time with friends and family on Lopez Island.
