The University of Washington recruits talented young sailors from all over the United States each fall. But don’t worry if you don’t have any previous experience; anyone who is passionate about learning how to sail is welcome the join the Husky Sailing Team. Being on the team does require a level of commitment. We practice weekly and travel to local and national regattas year round. However, we understand everyone is also a student so we have multiple practices a week to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules.
We look for sailors with an open mind looking to learn the in's and out's of collegiate sailing. Our team is comprised of a coed team and a women's team. With our team, you get out what you put in; the team will improve your sailing and help you achieve whatever sailing goals you set out for yourself if you're willing to put in the work. The Husky Sailing Team is like a family we support and motivate each other to be the best athletes, teammates, and students we can be. We look forward to our newest group of recruits - sko dawgs!
